Official Manual / App Store Authenticity Check

Shadowrocket Official App Download

Developer Shadow Launch Technology Limited App ID 932747118 $2.99 one-time purchase in the US storefront For iPhone and iPad

Shadowrocket is a paid app sold exclusively on the App Store, with a one-time purchase. Verify the account region and app details, then follow the store prompts. The price, device compatibility, and system requirements shown on the App Store page are authoritative.

This page covers purchasing and restoring the app. Buying the client does not include a service plan; you’ll need your own subscription or server details to connect.

01 / Storefront

App Store Storefront and Account Region

Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. Check the region of the account you use for App Store purchases; your device’s physical location alone doesn’t determine availability.

Check Media & Purchases

Your Apple Account’s country or region determines which App Store storefront you see. Your device language and regional format are separate from your store account region. Changing the interface language to English does not change where the app is available for purchase. After opening the product page, check its availability in the App Store.

Go to Settings → Apple Account → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region. You may be asked to authenticate, and labels may vary slightly between system versions. Check which account is used for Media & Purchases, not just the account name shown at the top of Settings.

To find the official option for changing your region, go to Country/Region and select Change Country or Region. This section only explains where to find the option. Whether you can complete the change depends on factors such as your account balance, subscriptions, payment method, and other conditions shown by the store. Review each system prompt before proceeding.

Can’t Find the App vs. Can’t Buy It

If the app doesn’t appear in search, first check your storefront region. If the product page opens but you can’t buy the app, read the payment, account, or compatibility message shown on the page. A webpage displaying information for a storefront doesn’t mean your App Store account has switched to that storefront or that your device meets the requirements.

The App Store button on this page links to the same Shadowrocket product page. After opening it, check for messages about switching storefronts, app availability, or account issues, then review your account settings. Don’t assume a similarly named search ad is the right app; check the developer and app ID in the next section.

Before purchasing, check your current account status, especially existing subscriptions and payment settings. If the store says you haven’t met the requirements to change regions, address the issues it lists first. This manual can’t guarantee a region change will succeed, and changing your device’s display settings is not a purchase step.

02 / App Identity

How to Verify the Official Shadowrocket App

The app name is only a starting point. Confirm that the developer, official icon, and app ID all match. Screenshots can help you recognize the app’s interface.

Verify the App on the Store

Developer: Check the developer name on the product page. It should be Shadow Launch Technology Limited. Don’t rely on the title alone. Similar names, search keywords, and descriptions are no substitute for checking the developer.

Official icon: Compare it with the original official icon shown on this site: a rocket outlined in blue and purple on a white background. Verify it alongside the developer name rather than relying on the icon’s colors or shape alone. The icon shown here helps identify the app; it is not proof of purchase by itself.

App ID: The id932747118 in the product page URL corresponds to app ID 932747118. The page title may vary by language, but you can use this number to identify the app. Once all three details match, check the price and compatibility section.

The two screenshots on the right are official English interface screenshots uploaded by the developer to the App Store. Home shows the connection controls, Global Routing, and SERVER groups. Add Server shows fields for entering your own server details. The screenshots help explain the app, but do not replace verifying its identity on the store page.

Not Connected is the connection status shown in the screenshot, not a purchase error. When you first install the app, the presence or absence of server entries is not a way to verify that it’s genuine; you’ll need to import your own details. The interface may change with App Store updates, so check the current screen’s field names and purpose.

03 / iPhone

Buying and Opening Shadowrocket on iPhone

After purchasing from the store, set up your in-app details and grant the system VPN permission. These are separate steps.

Open the App Store product page on your iPhone and verify the developer, app ID, current price, and compatibility before confirming the purchase. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. If your device doesn’t meet them, use the compatibility section and system prompts as your guide; don’t assume your device is supported just because the app installed on another device.

Once the purchase is complete, wait for the App Store download to finish, then open Shadowrocket from the Home Screen or App Library. Opening the app for the first time doesn’t mean you’re ready to connect: you’ll need your own subscription or server details. Use Add Server or the appropriate import option for your details. When entering information manually, make sure fields such as Type, Host, and Port match your existing details. Example addresses are not working servers.

The first time you start a connection, iOS may ask permission to add a VPN configuration. This is required for the app to create a system network extension on iPhone; it isn’t another purchase. Confirm that the prompt comes from Shadowrocket, then follow the system steps. If you cancel, the app may not be able to connect. You can try again once your configuration is ready.

After granting permission, check the selected server and Global Routing on Home. Config, Proxy, and Direct correspond to configuration, proxy, and direct connection modes; choose a mode that matches your configuration. The toggle only shows part of the connection process. Use Connectivity Test and an actual request to confirm access to the destination. For detailed import and connection steps, see the Setup Guide.

04 / iPad

iPad and Other Apple Device Compatibility

After purchasing on iPhone, you can use your purchase history to download the app on a compatible iPad with the same Apple Account. Check the app configuration on the target device.

One Purchase for iPhone and iPad

On your iPad, sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account used for the original purchase, then find Shadowrocket in your purchase history. A single purchase with the same Apple Account lets you redownload it on compatible iPhone and iPad devices; you don’t have to buy it again for a different device type. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements.

The iPad’s larger display can change how content and lists are arranged. Look for the original interface labels, such as Home, Config, and Settings. Don’t rely on a button appearing in the same place as in a screenshot. Check the current screen and field names before entering your own details.

Having the app in your purchase history doesn’t mean every entry from your iPhone will automatically appear on your iPad. Check the current configuration and import your own subscription or server details as needed. You’ll also need to grant system VPN permission on the iPad. Even when both devices use the same details, verify the connection on each one.

Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision

The compatibility section on the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the page for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. Before using the app on one of these devices, review the current store page rather than assuming it works the same way as on iPhone or iPad.

The same App Store product page is the only place to get the app for these devices. Check the product description alongside the store availability shown on the target device. If you can’t proceed, first check compatibility, the purchase account, and any store messages rather than assuming the issue is with your in-app server details.

The first-use permission and import instructions on this page focus on iPhone and iPad. For other devices, follow the system and app interface shown on the device. Check purchase status and connection configuration separately.

05 / Restore a Purchase

New Device, Reinstall, and Purchase History

Restore the original purchase first, then restore your own app data. Don’t pay again just because the app isn’t showing on a new device.

After changing devices or deleting the app, open the App Store with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Go to Account → Purchased, find Shadowrocket, then tap the cloud download icon. Depending on your system version, this section may appear as Apps or My Apps. Look for the app’s purchase history under that account. You can restore it without paying again if the account recognizes the original purchase and the app is available for your device.

If the product page still shows a price, pause and check that Media & Purchases is using the Apple Account from the original purchase, then check your purchase history. Using the same cloud account on your device doesn’t necessarily mean you’re using the same App Store account. You can also check the original receipt to confirm the app name and purchase account. Don’t assume the current account owns the app just because its icon was on an old device.

Reinstalling usually restores only the app itself. You may need to reimport configurations that were stored only on the device, so first check whether you have your own subscription URL, server details, or configuration backup. If you used iCloud sync, check the sync settings and results on the new device too; being signed in doesn’t guarantee that everything has been restored.

After restoring the app, check the selected server, Config, and Global Routing, then grant any VPN permission required on this device. Import an existing, active subscription using the guide and check the update result. Redownloading the client won’t reactivate an expired subscription. Family Sharing availability depends on the App Store page and system prompts; don’t assume every family member can use the same purchase automatically.

06 / What the Purchase Covers

Shadowrocket Price and One-Time Purchase

The US storefront price is $2.99 as a one-time purchase. Other storefronts show local prices; the final price is the one on the App Store confirmation screen.

App Purchase Cost

Shadowrocket is a closed-source commercial app sold for a one-time purchase, with no recurring monthly client fee. The USD price shown here is for the US storefront and may differ from the price in your account’s storefront. Check the currency and amount on the confirmation screen before purchasing; prices from different regions aren’t directly comparable.

The purchase is recorded under your App Store account. App Store manages redownloads on new devices and app updates. Updates may install automatically according to your device’s App Store settings, or you can check for them in your store account. Refer to the current store page for update history and availability.

If payment hasn’t gone through, address the payment issue shown by the store first. If you’ve already purchased the app but can’t download it, check your purchase history, available storage, network, and system compatibility. These issues have different fixes; repeatedly confirming the purchase won’t replace checking its status.

Buying the Client Doesn’t Include a Service Plan

Buying the client gives you the right to use the app; it doesn’t provide server details. Manage your own subscription URL, server address, port, and authentication details, and check them against your existing information. A successful App Store purchase and an active server service are separate things.

This is the official Shadowrocket website and manual. It does not provide or sell servers or subscriptions, or recommend related services. This page covers legitimate purchases, device installation, and restoring purchases. The setup guide explains how to import your own details and understand configurations, modes, and connection checks.

When a connection fails, check separately whether the app is installed, system permission has been granted, your existing service is active, and your current rules match your needs. Buying the app again won’t fix incorrect server details or replace configuration troubleshooting. Keeping a recoverable copy of your configuration is usually more helpful than repeatedly deleting and reinstalling the app.

Download and Purchase FAQs

Use the message you’re seeing to identify the issue. Check your store purchase history first, then review your device and app settings.

Why can’t I find Shadowrocket on the App Store?
Shadowrocket isn’t available in the mainland China storefront. Your Apple Account’s country or region determines which App Store content you can see. Check the account region under Media & Purchases, then see whether the product page is available. Verify any search result by checking the developer, official icon, and app ID.
Why can’t I download Shadowrocket even though the product page opens?
Read the specific App Store message first, then check your account region, device compatibility, payment status, available storage, and network connection. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. An incomplete purchase and a download failure after purchase require different steps.
Do I have to pay again when I get a new iPhone or reinstall the app?
Sign in with the Apple Account used for the original purchase. Find Shadowrocket in your App Store purchase history and download it again without paying a second time. Restoring the app does not restore all local configurations; check or import your own subscriptions and server details on the new device.
Can I install Shadowrocket on an iPad if I bought it on my iPhone?
Yes. After purchasing with the same Apple Account, you can download Shadowrocket from your purchase history on compatible iPhone and iPad devices. Refer to the App Store page for system requirements. Confirm the in-app configuration and system VPN permission separately on each device.
How do I check compatibility with Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision?
The compatibility section on the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the page for supported devices, system requirements, and whether the purchase is universal. The same product page remains the only place to get the app.
The app opens in English. How do I follow the instructions?
Use the original interface labels: Home is where you find connection controls, Add Server is for adding your existing server details, Config manages configuration files, and Settings contains app settings. Check the current screen and field names, then follow the official manual. The interface language does not affect your purchase.
